Achieve Your Goals: One Step at a Time - A Guide to Organizing Your Home

This year I would like to challenge you to take one step at
a time until you reach your goals.

I know this is a big goal for most. I want you to know it is possible. As a professional organizer, I have organized entire houses in just a few weeks. It does take 6 hours a day for two or three weeks to organize an entire 5,000-square-foot home. I have done it for many clients. But it doesn’t have to be 6-hour days for weeks.

Let’s face it, there are days you will need to miss
because life happens.

Welcome to the ultimate challenge: organizing your entire home in a year! As Luxury Pro Organizer, I'm here to guide you through this transformative journey. I've organized countless homes throughout my career, and I know that achieving your home organization goals is not only possible but also life-changing. By breaking down the process into smaller, manageable steps and using our printable blank list, you'll stay motivated, focused, and celebrate each milestone along the way. So, let's dive in and embark on this home organization adventure together!

Step 1:

Embrace the Mindset of Transformation:
Before we begin, it's crucial to embrace the mindset of transformation. Understand that organizing your entire home is a journey, not a one-time task. Recognize the benefits of a clutter-free space, including reduced stress, increased productivity, and a sense of calm. Commit to the process and believe in your ability to achieve your goals, one step at a time.

Step 2:

Create Your Yearly Plan:
To set yourself up for success, create a yearly plan that outlines the areas of your home you will tackle each month. Start with a broad overview, breaking your home into zones or rooms. Assign one or two areas to each month, ensuring a realistic timeline. Use the printable blank list to jot down specific tasks and goals for each room, and refer to it as your roadmap throughout the year.

Step 3:

Start Small and Build Momentum
Begin your journey by selecting a small area or a room that feels manageable. It could be a closet, a bathroom, or a kitchen drawer. By starting small, you'll build momentum and gain confidence as you see progress. Dedicate focused time to each area, sorting items into categories: keep, donate/sell, and discard. Make decisions based on usefulness and joy, letting go of items that no longer serve a purpose.

Step 4:

Establish Organizational Systems
As you declutter each area, it's essential to establish organizational systems that promote long-term order. Invest in storage solutions like bins, shelves, and drawer dividers to maximize space and keep items neatly arranged. Group similar items together and label containers for easy identification. Customizing your organizational systems will make it easier to maintain a clutter-free environment.

Step 5:

Stay Consistent and Celebrate Milestones
Consistency is key throughout your year-long home organization journey. Dedicate regular time to decluttering and organizing, whether it's a few hours each week or a focused weekend session. Celebrate each milestone along the way, recognizing the progress you've made. Treat yourself to small rewards or share your achievements with friends and family. By acknowledging your accomplishments, you'll stay motivated and inspired to continue.

Congratulations on accepting the challenge to organize your entire home in a year! Remember, achieving your goals is possible, one step at a time. By breaking down the process into smaller, manageable steps and using the printable blank list, you'll stay focused, track your progress, and celebrate each milestone along the way. Embrace the transformative power of an organized home and the profound impact it can have on your life. Get ready to create a clutter-free haven that brings you joy, peace, and enhanced functionality. Let's embark on this journey together and make your home the sanctuary you've always dreamed of!

Let’s Do This!

Look around your entire house and make a list of what you need to accomplish in each room so it will look, feel & function
the way you want.

There is a printable copy of the list created by Luxury Pro Organizer to make it a little easier to spot everything on your wish list.

This first task is going to take time. There is a printable copy of the list created by Luxury Pro Organizer to make it a little easier to spot everything on your wish list. This printable list was created as a worksheet to use any way you would like. You will see the bold title of each room or space in your home. Under the Room or spaces in your home, you will see a list of items. Examples: “Paint touch-ups”, “appliances”, etc. There are lines next to the items for you to make notes. Some of you may wish to write the measurements of an “appliance” you need to replace or that you would like to purchase. You may want to just place a checkmark on the line next to “Paint touch-ups” needed. Note, there are items like “Countertops” and “Pantry”. Directly under each item says “Storage containers needed”. This is where you may want to write measurements of the pantry shelves where you would like new containers. Doing this will help when you are at a store. One item on the list is “Desk”. Your notes may say you want to purchase a desk or that you need to organize it. These notes are for you. Use them the way that is best for you.
